What the Wellness Panel includes

The Trichomoniasis & Wellness Panel combines a test for one of the most common – and most commonly missed – STDs with three general-health blood and urine tests, so a single lab visit tells you about your sexual health and how your body is doing overall.

Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis (“trich”) is caused by a tiny parasite and is one of the most common curable STDs in the US. Around 70% of people who have it have no symptoms, and it can be carried for months. When symptoms do appear they include itching or irritation, a frothy or unusual discharge, discomfort when urinating, and pain during sex. It is detected with a urine NAAT – no swab, no exam – and it is cleared with a short course of oral medication.

CBC – complete blood count

A CBC counts and measures your red cells, white cells, hemoglobin and platelets. It is the test doctors use to screen for anemia, infection, inflammation and immune problems. Low hemoglobin can explain tiredness and shortness of breath; a raised white count can point to an infection your body is fighting.

UA – urinalysis

A urinalysis checks your urine for protein, blood, glucose, white cells, bacteria and other markers. It is a window on your kidneys and urinary tract and can flag urinary infections, early kidney problems, dehydration and blood-sugar issues.

LFT – liver function tests

Liver function tests measure enzymes and proteins (ALT, AST, ALP, bilirubin, albumin) that rise or fall when the liver is under strain. They help detect liver inflammation from viruses, alcohol, medications or fatty liver – often long before you would feel anything.

Who this panel is for

This panel suits anyone who wants a trich test plus a general check-up without a doctor’s appointment: people who have not had blood work in a while, anyone with unexplained fatigue, people who drink regularly or take medications that can affect the liver, and anyone who simply wants a baseline snapshot of their health. It is also a sensible add-on if you are already getting STD testing and would like the extra reassurance.

How the visit works

Order online or by phone, then walk into the lab you chose – no appointment. You will give a small blood sample and a urine sample; the whole visit takes about ten minutes. You do not need to fast for this panel. Results appear in your private online account in 1–2 business days, with reference ranges next to each value so you can see at a glance what is normal.

If something comes back abnormal

If trichomoniasis is detected, a member of our care team will call you and arrange a physician consultation so you can be treated promptly; your partner should be treated at the same time. If a wellness value is outside the normal range, we will explain what it means and, where appropriate, connect you with a physician to discuss next steps. Many out-of-range results are minor and easily explained, but knowing about them early is the whole point.
