Get tested in three easy steps
Tell us what you’re worried about, or pick the tests yourself. A doctor’s order is included – you don’t need a referral or an appointment.
Your lab order reaches the test center in 2–3 minutes, so you can walk in today – no appointment. Go to the lab you chose during the hours listed. Sign in at the kiosk with your name and date of birth – no ID needed – give a small blood or urine sample, and you’re done in about 5 minutes. No exam, no questions, no waiting room full of people.
Results post to your private account in 1–2 business days. Prefer not to log in or get an email? Call and we’ll read your result to you. If anything needs attention, our care team calls you to walk through treatment – for many infections that’s a prescription; for others the physician arranges an in-person visit or a referral.

Getting your results
When your results are ready you get an email saying so – nothing else is in it. Log in to your secure online account to view them – or, if you would rather not log in or get an email at all, call and a care advisor will read your result to you. Results are never mailed, never texted, and never sent to your doctor or insurance.
If anything comes back positive, you won’t just be handed a result. A member of our care team calls you, explains what it means in plain language, and sets up a consultation with a physician. Depending on the infection, care may be a prescription sent to the pharmacy you choose, an in-person visit for an injection, or a specialist referral.
Nine things people believe about STDs that aren’t true
Most of the worry people bring to us comes from one of these. None of them hold up.
Myth #1Only “dirty” or promiscuous people get STDs.
Anyone who has ever had sex can get an STD. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve had one partner or a hundred – it only takes one time, and most people who test have no idea where it came from. Getting tested isn’t a confession. It’s just taking care of yourself.
Myth #2If you get an STD, you’re gross.
About one in five Americans has an STD right now, and most don’t know it. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and trich are all curable. Having one says nothing about who you are – it just says you were exposed, the same way you can catch a cold.
Myth #3I used a condom, so I’m safe.
Condoms lower your risk a lot, but they don’t cover everything. Herpes, syphilis and HPV spread by skin contact outside the condom, and condoms slip or break. If something happened that you’re unsure about, testing is the only way to know for sure.
Myth #4I only had oral sex, so I’m safe.
Gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes and HIV can all pass through oral sex. Throat infections usually cause no symptoms at all, which is exactly why people don’t know they have them.
Myth #5I don’t have any symptoms, so I’m fine.
Most STDs are silent. Around 70% of women and 50% of men with chlamydia have no symptoms, and HIV can go years without any. A test is the only way to know – and the earlier you know, the easier everything is.
Myth #6STDs go away on their own.
Bacterial STDs don’t clear without treatment; they just go quiet and keep doing damage – pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and they can still be passed on. The good news is the treatment is simple once you know.
Myth #7If I get herpes, no one will ever want to be with me.
Roughly one in six adults has genital herpes and most live completely normal lives, with partners, marriages and kids. Daily medication makes outbreaks rare and dramatically lowers the chance of passing it on. A diagnosis is the start of managing it, not the end of anything.
Myth #8Only gay men get HIV.
HIV doesn’t care who you are. A large share of new HIV infections in the US come from heterosexual contact, and women make up nearly a quarter of new diagnoses. Everyone who is sexually active should know their status.
Myth #9If I get HIV, I will die.
Not anymore. With today’s treatment, someone diagnosed with HIV has a near-normal life expectancy, and people whose virus is undetectable cannot pass it on sexually. The key is finding it early – which is what a test is for.
Not sure what to test for? Talk to someone first.
Most people call before they order. Tell a care advisor what happened and when – no judgment, no awkwardness – and they will tell you exactly what makes sense, place the order with you, and pick the lab closest to you. The line is open 24 hours a day.
- Talk to a real person, privately
- Get the right test the first time
- Your lab order is at the test center in 2–3 minutes
Nobody finds out but you.
Nothing goes to your insurance. Nothing comes in the mail. Your visit doesn’t announce why you’re there. Our partner labs collect samples for many different kinds of testing. To other people in the waiting room, you’re simply another person having a routine lab visit. Your results go only to you, in your secure account, and your card statement just says RSC Health.
What you’re paying for
Our tests are the same FDA-cleared tests run in the same CLIA-certified laboratories a doctor would use. The difference is everything around the test.

Questions people ask about how it works
Do I need an appointment or a doctor’s referral?
No. The doctor’s order is included when you order, and every lab takes you without an appointment once you’ve ordered. Just go during the hours listed for the location you picked.
How long does the lab visit take?
About 5 minutes. You sign in at the kiosk with your name and date of birth, give a blood or urine sample, and leave. There is no exam and no questions about why you’re there.
How fast do I get results?
Most results are ready in 1–2 business days and are posted to your private online account; if you prefer, call and we’ll read your result to you. A few tests take a little longer – we tell you which when you order.
Will anyone find out?
No. We don’t bill your insurance, and your testing information is handled confidentially by the physicians and laboratories providing your care. Nothing is mailed, your lab visit doesn’t announce why you’re there (our partner labs collect samples for many kinds of testing, so you’re simply another routine visit), and your card statement just says RSC Health.
What if I test positive?
Our care team calls you, explains the result, and arranges a physician consultation. For most STDs treatment is a prescription sent to your pharmacy – no clinic visit.
Can I use my insurance?
We don’t bill insurance – that’s what keeps testing private. You pay when you order, and the price covers the doctor’s order, the lab visit and your results with no hidden fees.
